    This year the TUSKA 2008 (27-29.06) festival will be amazing. The fest is usually pretty heavy, but this year a special Nightwish/Epica/Amorphis concert is attached the day before. I expect four days of eternal fun. Festival website on this [link]

    Any suggestions whom I shall certainly see?
    The only problem, headliners on the main stage plays withoun any concurrency but smaller bands will be "paired" so I can shoot only one band of two, pretty often...

    Since I don´t know which of those play on the smaller stages.... Stam1na, Kiuas, Mokoma, The Scourger, Diablo and Primordial are always fun to shoot live. Oh and Shade Empire.
    Well, basically all the Finnish bands are worth being seen, but those will pretty sure play at the same time. But on the other hand...you´ll surely see those bands more often in Finland. So pick the ones, where the chances are quite small you´ll see them again that soon.

    The Sorrow are pretty boring in my opinion, just saw them again last weekend. Metalcore...

    Ach damn...the whole billing is great and I´m still pissed off that I won´t make it there this year!

    Cornelia, you'll have equally cool bands at other places! I hate to miss gigs myself, though. There are not many of them in my small place. Just some Alice Cooper once in a while :P

    I miss apocalyptica :) did'nt see them since 2006...
    I prefer interesting bands with good appearance. Good that Dimmu will be on main stage. Otherwise they play in darkness.

    I envy you. Hahaha You get to see so many awesome bands! Lots of them don't even come to Canada, and if so, hardly even near my city.

    Yeah sure, but it´s also going to Finland and thus holiday. Not that Gothenburg isn´t cool...but it´s still different. I´m really missing Finland! :)

    Same with Apocalyptica here...too bad I didn´t see them last year on their tour here in Germany. Especially because Stam1na were support act.
    But well, they´ll come back and I´ve already seen them 9 times or so, hehe.

    Hehe, Dimmu will most probably a lot of fun to shoot! :D Guys with corpsepaint are great, at least when it comes to take pics. ;)
    Well, I´ll see them at Metaltown. If can take pics, that the other question at the moment, they wait with confirmation till two weeks before the festival. o.O

    I really want to see Behemoth. Dimmu as well of course, though I've heard that they exactly love playing in darkness. But I think flash was allowed at Tuska last year, right?

    As for small bands, I agree with Cornelia here - Stam1na and The Scourger is a must. Even if you've got the chance to see them almost daily the sort of photos you might get from those bands will be worth even missing some rare to see in Finland act. And don't miss Korpiklaani!


    Cornelia - Apocalytpica 9 times? Am I jelous or what, I have seen them 3 times only... but looks I'll never get enough. I think I haven't seen any pics of them in your gallery? Would be soooo cool if you posted some.

    Yeah, have heard a lot of good about them... never saw the guys but I can't wait!
